Children, Youth & Families

Our Middle School Youth stand with their entry

in the library's chocolate cookoff.

Our Middle School youth meet most Fridays from 3:45-6:00.  We pick up from Summit weekly and from Blue Ridge or Highlands upon request.  Our Senior High Youth meet about once a month for fun and Christian fellowship.  Contact Matt Smith for more info regarding youth at matthewssmith76@gmail.com or 743-5298.

Wonderful Wednesdays, our afterschool program for children from Age 3 through 5th Grade, is back. This program uses music, snack, recreation, crafts and storytime to reinforce the day's Biblical message. We pick up kids from Blue Ridge and Summit, but others can join us at the church at 3:30 PM. Ongoing Opportunities

W.O.W. (WORSHIP ON WEDNESDAYS) is an informal service of worship held every Wednesday at 5:30. Come as you are! Elementary-aged children are encouraged to remain in the service, but we do have a nursery for younger ones.  Our catered Fellowship Meal follows Worship on Wednesdays at 6:30.  Children and youth eat free!  Adults are only $6.

Sunday School Classes for children & youth continue weekly.  Join us from 9:45-10:45 AM each Sunday.

Children’s Church, our Sunday morning program for children from Ages 3 through 2nd Grade, dismisses from the 11 AM service after the Children's Sermon and meets for interactive lesson based on the morning's scripture.

A nursery is available for young children on Sundays from 8:15-12:15 and Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:30.  Staff members provide consistent and loving care of our young ones.  Each family receives a pager in case they're needed during the service.

Mother's Morning Out is an affordable opportunity for preschool children to receive care in a group session and for parents to have a break to relax or run errands.  They've begun their winter semester and welcome new registrations.   For additional information contact MMO Director Barbie Nichols at (c) 506-2224 or (h) 743-0391.
