Be Safe Bags for the Jackson County Senior Center - To help our home-bound seniors during these difficult times, please consider donating some of the items on this list for "safety bags."  You can drop your purchases off at the Cashiers Department on Aging at the front entrance.  The center is located beside the Cashiers Library.
Lenten Bible Study will begin on Wednesday, March 4th at 6:15 (immediately following the fellowship meal).  This study, led by Pastor Wes, is entitled "The Walk" by Adam Hamilton and will be held in The Commons.  Books are available in the church office.  This book is basic but a refreshing look at the five essential practices that are rooted in Jesus' own walk with God.  Please join us as we journey through Lent.
CUMC Scholarship application and cover letter are now available.
The Cashiers Community Chorus will begin rehearsals for the Lenten Cantata on Thursday, February 27th at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.  This year's cantata is The Weeping Tree by Joseph M. Martin.  Please join us for this moving cantata with its heart-affirming portrait of the crucifixion and a gentle celebration of grace.  There are no tryouts - just need a love of singing!  The Lenten Cantata will be presented at CUMC on Palm Sunday, April 5th at 2:00 p.m.
Women's Winter Bible Study:  Phyllis Edwards will be leading this study based on the book, Defined - Who God Says You Are by authors Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick.  Books are available in the church office and are $15.
Circles of Hope:  CUMC is responsible for one meal a month for Circles of Hope and we need volunteers on the 2nd Thursday of each month.  The tasks are simple - set up for the meal, serve the meal, and clean up. There will be help in preparing the meal.  What a privilege this is to be involved with this effective program to lead people from "surviving to thriving."  Please contact the church with questions.
